Canberra post-punks, Young & Restless, announced yesterday that they will be playing their last show together this Friday at the Arthouse in Melbourne.
Essential Festival 2009 line-up announced

The supports for the upcoming These New Puritans tour have been confirmed - Lost Valentinos and Traps for the Sydney show on August 12 and Young & Restless and Bachelor of Arts for the Melbourne leg of the tour on August 14.

The Canberra five piece have their new single Kapow! hitting the airwaves any day now, as well as a country-wide tour with Cut Off Your Hands. All before their debut album is released in July.

Some of the brightest stars that represent the future of Australian music were on show at Spectrum on Saturday, as The Temper Trap, Young and Restless and Fait Accompli put together one of the best complete sets i've seen in a while.
Wolf & Cub are winners
Hot on the heels of the release of their debut full-length Vessels Wolf & Cub last night picked up the Soya 2006 Award (in the music category obvs). The prize, which is $5000 cash and $5000 worth of Qantas flights, will surely help the band get their music out to the masses.
Big congrats to the Canberra kids. Hopefully, this means the start of big things for them. Catch them live as well if you can.. awesomeness.
