I don't really care too much for electronica, or 'techno' as I like to ignorantly pigeon-hole it, BUT that new Chemical Brothers song, All Rights Reserved, featuring The Klaxons which has been floating all over this interweb for the past couple of days is THE AWESOME. It's stupiditly theatrical and epic but, at the same time, is everything I want from the 'knob-twiddling' genre. The Klaxons, who, incidentally, I don't really care for too much, are perfect for the space-age aspect of the track and ultimately bring it to life. You should get on it.
The new Chemical Brothers album We Are The Night is officially in stores on July 2nd.
The Polyphonic Spree are set to release their new album, The Fragile Army on the 19th of June. The first taste from it is called Running Away, and features the same joyous over-the-top choir thing going on as with the previous work. Brillyant.
Editors also have a new album on the way, entitled An End Has A Start, to be released on June 25th. The first single, Smokers Outside The Hospital Door is a fantastic track, which if you love the brooding style of the band, will get you all hot and bothered and excited about the new album.
And.. for kids who like their music a little bit mashed, Spine Magazine have a nice little number of that skateboarding rapper, Lupe Fiasco, doing the things he does, over the top of Thom Yorke's The Eraser. Download here.
