Did pre-orders of the album reach 3 million? Raises some interesting points as to whether or not the downloads will count as sales and thus see them making an impact on the charts. Anyone know?

There is loads more stuff about the album at Google News.
Although we are only up to about listen number eight - for us, the track Bodysnatchers is the highlight.
Aside from the general interenet hysteria and because we are nerds stat-lovers we would really like to see some data on those who have downloaded the album - eg how much people paid for it, total downloads etc. Just would be the only real way to gauge how successful this experiment has been for the band as well as offering a nice way to see what their fans think of them.
