Purple Sneakers reveal details of their New Years Eve party

It's normally around this time every year that venues, party people and everyone in-between start promoting their slightly overpriced 'party' nights for New Years Eve. Everyone with 4% of a chimp's brain knows that the last day of the year is just like every night of the year - but more crowded, more expensive and more disappointing.

Purple Sneakers are pouting on their end of year fiesta at Manning Bar at Sydney Uni. The night will feature Dappled Cities Fly (in their first show back in Sydney), Young and Restless, The Tongue, The Holidays, Wons Phreely, S.Y.L.K. and two super-special mystery bands selected by FBi and The Brag.

It does all very tasty and/or lovely BUT tickets are $30-35 (depending on expiry date of your fake student card) plus booking fee. To be honest we think it's just a little bit too high for our liking.

Tickets are on sale from Wednesday the 31st of October via Moshtix, Ticketek and Sydney Uni Access Office.

The Sydney group will play the music of Australian composer Kyls Burtland on a new Playhouse Disney series called "Alphabreaks" which introduces preschoolers to the letters of the alphabet with the help of musical instruments and original music. The 26-part series, to be televised in Australia and New Zealand, will be directed by Tom Spark who has previously created music videos for the likes of The Cat Empire, Thirsty Merc, The Vines, Vanessa Amorosi and Gyroscope. #
