Eels to release Best-of, Rarities/Covers and a book

Eels are set to celebrate their first 10 years by releasing a best-of collection entitled Essential Eels Vol. 1 (1996-2006) and a rarities album, Useless Trinkets: B-Sides, Soundtracks, Rarities and Unreleased.

Both collections contain plenty for the uninitiated and fans alike, with videos and a whole bunch of previously unreleased material.

More information can be found at the Eels official website. Both collections will be released in January, 2008.

Furthermore, Eels front-man Mark Oliver Everett (or just 'E'), is set to release an autobiography entitled Things The Grandchildren Should Know. Anyone who's ever listened to just a couple of Eels songs would know that this should make for a great read.
