Our Favourite Videos of 2007

There were some really good local music videos made this year.

Architecture In Helsinki - Debbie
We are slightly biased because our loving pal Andy is the star of this video. Those that caught the Helsinki kids at Homebake this year would have also be treated to a great drunken rant from Andy 'Three Fingers' Davis as part of the chaotic halftime entertainment.

----------------------------------

The Mess Hall - Keep Walking
Bizarre and very fitting video for the Sydney duo.

----------------------------------

Bluejuice - Vitriol

----------------------------------

Our favourite international videos of the year leaned more towards the complete 'visual orgasm' side of things...

Battles - Tonto

----------------------------------

Menomena - Rotten Hell
Slow motion food fighting.

----------------------------------

LCD Soundsystem - All My Friends
A love how well this video matches the song - starting focused just on Murphy as part of the opening self-reflective part happens before moving out to the bigger picture for the climatic finish.

----------------------------------

But impossible to overlook as a standout video of 2007..

Kanye West - Can't Tell Me Nothing
Two farmers (Will Oldham and Zack Galifianakis) mime along to Mr West's chest-thumping diddy, touching on every hip-hop video cliche of the past five years. Brilliant.
