WOW

We don't typically like electronic music around these parts (we ignorantly group it all together under the title of 'techno') but there is definitely something that we kinda 'dig' about Sydney duo WOW.

WOW is the brainchild of Matt Cribb, who likes hanging out in the back room of his house fucking around with drum machines and cheap keyboards, and Bree Carter, who fills the role of Little Miss Pop Sensible. The group has only been around for a few months but have come out with all guns firing and gained a fair bit of deserved interest and solid support slots - including the Crystal Castles on their recent tour - as well as an appearance at the Field Day festival on New Years Day.

And the sound? Well, the vocals are lazily delivered over the top of musical backing that sounds something like a Commodore 64 that has been adapted into a laser gun designed to randomly fire at one of those uber cool hipster bands that have long fringes and tight black jeans.

Err.. maybe some AUDIO will clear things up...
