The Mess Hall are playing shows in every nook and cranny of Australia during April and May

Just to confirm you got that right - The Mess Hall are NOT playing in every granny in Australia for a two month period. That would just be weird.

It does, however, seem as though you won't be able to swing a miniature poodle during April or May without hitting the Sydney duo playing a show, running towards a show or someone saying 'I am going to go and see The Mess Hall play tonight and then get a kebab on the way home'.

Along with their own national tour lined up they will also be playing a whole bunch of shows with some band called the Foo Fighters. If following Sir Dave Grohl around Australia wasn't enough - they have also been named as the support for the Brisbane show for the upcoming Wilco tour. Those two scruffy muffies be hitting the big time.

Playing somewhere near your:

Thursday April 3: Cambridge Hotel, Newcastle
Friday April 4: The Green Room, Canberra
Thursday April 10: Peninsular Lounge, Mooroduc
Friday April 11: Karova Lounge, Ballarat
Saturday April 12: Corner Hotel, Melbourne
Thursday April 17: Sands Tavern, Maroochydore
Friday, April 18: The Cooly, Coolangatta
Saturday, April 19: The Zoo, Brisbane
Saturday, April 19: Tivoli , Brisbane (+)
Monday, April 21: Burswood Dome, Perth (*)
Thursday, April 24: Adelaide Entertainment Centre (*)
Friday, April 25: Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne (*)
Saturday, April 26: Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne (*)
Tuesday, April 29: Brisbane Entertainment Centre (*)
Wednesday, April 30: Brisbane Entertainment Centre (*)
Friday, May 2: Acer Arena, Sydney (*)
Friday, May 2: Gaelic Club, Sydney
Saturday, May 3: Acer Arena, Sydney (*)

* Supporting the Foo Fighters
+ Supporting Wilco.

And NO they aren't typos above - they will be playing TWO shows on a single night - TWICE! - with their Sydney show on the same evening as one of the Foo Fighters shows and their Brisbane show clashing with the night they will be supporting Wilco. They must have invented some sort of teleporting machine, because that Parramatta Road traffic is gonna kill them on the Sydney run from Homebush to the city. Good luck with that fellas.

Also, in case you were wondering, the other bands supporting Wilco on their upcoming tour are Bridezilla for the Enmore Theatre show on March 18 and The Drones at the Melbourne show at The Palace Theatre oin March 26.
