Random Little Things: The Silents, Les Savy Fav, Kimya Dawon

Now that the beast that is the super-loooong-weekend has closed it's mouth and retreated back into it's cave for another year we can recap a little...

Over at Faster Louder you can stream all twelve tracks from the debut record by Perth's The Silents. The album, Things To Learn, will be available in stores from this Saturday, March 29.

Les Savy Fav are releasing a live album BUT, to the frustration of anyone that has ever seen them live, no accompanying DVD. I have always thought a 'fan perspective' video of them would work so well, maybe even something like what the Beastie Boys did with their Awesome; I Fuckin' Shot That! concert film.

Pop Frenzy has just announced that they will be bringing Kimya Dawson to our shores in June for a short tour. Dawson, famous as one half of The Moldy Peaches and more recently for her solo work on the Juno soundtrack, will be playing three all ages shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane with tickets going on sale on April 1st. More info over at Pop Frenzy web palace.
