Sleep School
Sleep School are a homemade project involving two guys. One of these guys is called Joel and he has previously played in such bands as Hand Me My Jetpack and I [love] Space, and currently handles 'axe duties' for Richard In Your Mind. The other half of the operation calls himself Ryan and has been rumoured to be associated with bands such as The Gills and The Null Set. They have roughly 45-49 years of musical experience between the two of them.
Their sound primarily exists in the world of delicate indie pop, developed on the back of Joel's I [love] Space vocals a lot more than his Jetpack work. The garnishing of light synth all over the four tracks on their demo truly adds the required 'hot sauce', giving the songs the necessary power to rise above other bedroom bands offering a similar sound.
They describe their own music as something like 'science shaking hands with music'. We think this is a pretty nice way to sum them up.
