Great Escape line-up announced, Yeasayer's inclusion overshadows all other bands

Another day, another festival announcement. Except, this one, for The Great Escape festival at Newington Armory on the first weekend of October (4-5), is a little bit special for one reason alone - YEASAYER!

The band leaked the info a few days back BUT not until today, when it was in black and white and 100% confirmed and packaged into one of those fancy 'press release' things did we start to get excited about seeing these guys live.

It would seem as though Joe's petition worked.

No word as yet about a Sydney sideshow BUT details on the rest of their tour are out:

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Wednesday, July 9 via Ticketek, Moshtix, FasterLouder and the festival website.

Early bird tickets will cost $180 (+ bf) and stage two tickets will cost you around $200 (+ bf). Ticket prices are CRAZY HIGH because of the fact they include entry to the festival as well as camping for the two days. Hmmm... going to be tough to convince me to camp in the town where I live. Sideshows!!!
