It seems every time I turn around there is a press release sitting in my inbox bragging about how The Mess Hall are playing 28 shows in the next day or so.
The duo have just announced a national tour for August and September.
Friday, August 8: Enigma Bar, Adelaide
Saturday, August 9: Amplifier Bar, Perth
Sunday, August 10: Newport Hotel, Fremantle
Friday, August 15: Great Northern, Byron Bay
Saturday, August 16: The Zoo, Brisbane
Friday, August 22: Northcote Social Club, Melbourne
Saturday, August 23: Northcote Social Club, Melbourne
Thursday, August 28: Annandale Hotel, Sydney
Friday, August 29: Annandale Hotel, Sydney
Friday, September 5: Cambridge Hotel, Newcastle
Saturday, September 6: Waves, Wollongong
As a special treat, the first Sydney show will feature the band playing their latest record Devil's Elbow from start to finish. Too bad if you only go and see them for the Nirvana cover.
The main support slot for both of the Sydney shows has been given to Brisbane's Violent Soho, while The Ripping Dylans will kick things off on the Thursday and Talons will 'get the party started and/or retarded' on the Friday.
Tickets for all shows go on sale on June 27.
