Cut Off Your Hands are all set, prepped and ready to release their debut record. The loooong overdue album is entitled You And I which incidentally is the same name as the group's breakthrough single from about a million or so years ago.
The album, produced by Bernard Butler from Suede, who also handled the 'knob-twiddling' duties on their last EP, Blue On Blue, and the debut record from Black Kids, has just been finished up in London over the last few weeks. The album, however, will not be released to the general public (or, if this was prison - 'gen pop') until October.
Those hoping to hear a whole load of new stuff from the band better start getting prepared to be disappointed - with word around town hinting at the fact that it will consist of more than a couple of re-workings of their older, previously released tracks.
You can catch the band showing off some of these re-workings, along with maybe one or two new ones and a whole load of pre-planned, theatrical stage antics, on their upcoming Australia tour, which is named after their 'new' single, a re-working of a track from their debut 2006 EP. Hmmm, fresh?
