Josh Pyke on his summer holiday to The Big Cigarette.
Josh Pyke, who recently scored a 94% ratio on the super nice vs sexy scale, has a new album on the way that (although he haven't heard yet) we are sure is not as good as Battles' Mirrored.
The new record, entitled Chimney's Afire, is the follow-up to his insanely successful 2007 debut, Memories & Dust, and set to be released in early October.
The album's first single is The Lighthouse Song, which will be hitting radio land in early August. Word is that the song was heavily influenced by a visit Josh took to a lighthouse one day while traveling around on his world famous 'postie' bike. He may or may not have experienced love, heartache and death on that same day.
To celebrate the release of the new single, Pyke will be hitting the road on a tour that, although called The Lighthouse Tour, will NOT include any shows at actual lighthouses. This is like Farnham's We Promise This Is The Last Ever Tour all over again.
Thursday, September 11: Metro Theatre, Sydney
Friday, September 12: The Zoo, Brisbane
Thursday, September 18: Prince Of Wales, Melbourne
Friday, September 19: Governor Hindmarsh, Adelaide
