The Basics take on double residency challenge

Remember 2007? Yeah, it was fucking awesome. LCD Soundsystem, Radiohead, The Ripping Dylans. Fucking best year of music EVER.

In the midst of the musical revolution a little band from Melbourne called The Basics completed an insane tri-state residency where, over the course of a (manic) month, played weekly shows in three different states.

And now in Two Double Oooohhh EIGHT The Basics are back to do it all again!

Well, not really. It seems as though the last 12 months has softened the band up a little and this time around they will only take the tour van to two states for the 'residency leg' of the tour (New South Wales and Victoria), before heading up to a third state (Queensland) for a couple more shows.
