TV On The Radio reveal new album artwork and tracklisting

In about a month's time when you visit this site your brain will more than likely explode with the number of references to TV On The Radio's new album, Dear Science, and it's mind-blowing greatness. We don't like to 'jump da gunz' BUT I think it's pretty safe to say that the record will be the musical equivalent of 48 hours of endless orgasms and/or the Nick Nolte vs Eddie Murphy monster-blockbuster smash, Another 48 Hours.

And this is what the album will look like:

TV On The Radio - Dear Science,

Tracklisting:

  1. Halfway Home
  2. Crying
  3. Dancing Choose
  4. Stork & Owl
  5. Golden Age
  6. Family Tree
  7. Red Dress
  8. Love Dog
  9. Shout Me Out
  10. DLZ
  11. Lover's Day

Guitarist Dave Sitek has stated that the album is a lot more "stripped back" compared to their previous LP's. Other phrases currently being thrown around the place to describe Dear Science, include "dark", "shiny", "sexy" and "mint flavoured".

And just a reminder - the album will 'drop like a pubescent male teen' on September 20 in Australia, whilst the rest of the world will need to wait a few more days after that to get their dirty mits on it. Factor in the time difference as well and we are pretty much getting the album about 4 weeks before the rest of the world. We are IN THE FUTURE AND IT'S LOVELY!

TVOTR's Tunde Adebimpe, Subtle's Adam "Doseone" Drucker, and Mike Patton of Peeping Tom, Faith No More, Tomahawk (etc etc..) have apparently joined forces and created some sort of obscure vocal 'super group'. The trio are planning to get together sometime before the end of the year to work on the as-yet untitled project and to "mess around vocally and see what comes of it". #

TV On The Radio are to release their new album on September 22nd. The album is titled Dear Science, (complete with comma), and is being released by 4AD. The album is of course the follow up to universally/cosmologically recognised 2006 album of the year Return to Cookie Mountain. Needless to say, we're slightly anticipatory. #
