Parklife gets a little phatter

Parklife (THE doof doof festival of the calendar year) has just announced a whole load of new additions to the Sydney leg of the tour (October 5):

  • Tennis
  • Papa vs. Pretty
  • Cassette Kids
  • Aston Shuffle
  • Theatre Of Disco
  • KillaQueenz
  • Kato
  • Ember
  • Jamie Lloyd & Jimi Polar
  • Meem
  • Funktrust DJs
  • Ro Sham Bo

These localites (socialites, hermaphrodites etc) will join the current star-studded list of acts, which includes: Dizzee Rascal, Blackalicious, Diplo, Peaches, Goldfrapp, Soulwax, 2manydjs, Martin Solveig, Plump DJs, Jesse Rose, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, XXXchange, Metro Area, Elektrons, Yuksek, Van She, Dragonette, Boy 8-Bit, Familjen, Bag Raiders, Ajax, Slyde, Grafton Primary and Van She Tech.

Word is that about two thirds of the tickets for Sydney Parklife are gone and now that SPOD is on the bill we don't expect the rest to last much longer. There are limited tickets available for the other cities as well, check the festival webspace for more details.

The (initial) line-up for the 2009 Playground Weekender has been announced and includes Primal Scream, The Streets, Cold War Kids, Crystal Castles, Whomadewho, The Paper Scissors, Pomomofo, WOW and many many more. The festival will take place from February 6 to 8 and once again be held at Wiseman's Ferry (about an hour or so north of Sydney). Thanks to kidkym via the forum for the heads up. #

Melbourne instrumentalists Mountains In The Sky and Sydney electro-pop-rock duo WOW have been named as the supports for the Holy Fuck show at the Annandale Hotel on December 11. Tickets are $38 (+ bf) and available via the Annandale Hotel website. #

Presale tickets for FBi's 5th Birthday Bash (this Saturday) have completely SOLD OUT!
