An open letter to The World (re: Zeal in Sydney)
My beloved wife has put her (metaphorical) foot down and denied my (perfectly reasonable) request to host a Zeal show in our 60sqm apartment.
So, I'm taking a leaf out of the Barry Obama / Carlos Worthington playbook and throwing out an olive branch to the gen pop people of the world, or more precisely you - thy lovely patron of this webspace.
Do you have a venue that would like to host a live performance by Zeal? Is this venue awesome, not falling down and not too hip-to-the-bones? Is it an artspace, a little shop and/or an empty mansion chock full of hookers or slutty babes? If YES then please proceed to part two.
Part Two - is this venue empty on Friday, September 17?
If you were just yelling "YES" very loudly at your computer screen then congratulations, this is right up your alley (and bars in alleys are cool as well / does Sydney have them yet?)... so let's chat about it!.
It'll be a blast. And you'll be rewarded too. We'll give you a hug and maybe the big stack of Grizzly Bear CDs that I recently found while trying to turn my 60sqm apartment into a space big enough to host a great music show.
And let's split the profits. Or at least re-invest the profits into a timeshare. (We're really interested in timeshares so please contact us about that also, even if you're not keen in hosting the show).

Here is a photo of Zeal stretching. Doesn't he look like the kinda guy you want playing music in your living room?
PS: Zeal really is a fucking legend. And his music is fucking great. Really fucking great. CHECK IT OUT.
PPS: Zeal is also playing at The Gate (best venue in Sydney 2010-2013) on Saturday, September 18. He'll be playing with Seekae and Bon Chat, Bon Rat in what is surely the greatest line-up ever. RSVPs all almost all gone so act snappy if you want to get along to this show.
PPPS: My friend Tom just sent me this video. Pugs are great.
