Bluejuice, The Paper Scissors and The Dirty Secrets added to Essential Festival line-up

Whoa.. Essential Festival is starting to become the festival that just keeps on giving.

Obviously, hearing our loud 'YEAH!' of excitement following the last announcement, the organisers have added even more awesome local acts to the Sydney line-up in the form of trip-hip-hoppers, Bluejuice, local live favourites, The Paper Scissors, and Perth indie rockers, The Dirty Secrets.

The now (complete) line-up is...

Ratatat, Shocking Pinks, Bluejuice, The Paper Scissors, The Dirty Secrets, Regurgitator, Grafton Primary, Dardanelles, The Devoted Few, The E.L.F, Gaslight Radio, The John Steel Singers, The Seabellies, The Silents, Reptiles, Talons, Straight Arrows, Richard In Your Mind, Cuthbert & The Nightwalkers, Regular John, WOW, Bird Automatic, Cloud Control, The Holidays, Cassette Kids, Pip Branson Corporation, Centipede, Erin Marshall, The Khan Brothers and Gin Winmore.

Tickets appear to be still available for the festival, which is happening next Friday (Anzac Day public holiday), and you can pick them for around $50 via Moshtix.

The (initial) line-up for the 2009 Playground Weekender has been announced and includes Primal Scream, The Streets, Cold War Kids, Crystal Castles, Whomadewho, The Paper Scissors, Pomomofo, WOW and many many more. The festival will take place from February 6 to 8 and once again be held at Wiseman's Ferry (about an hour or so north of Sydney). Thanks to kidkym via the forum for the heads up. #

NYE Party, including SPOD, The Devoted Few, Bluejuice, The E.L.F, British India, Le Tigre's JD Samson and a bucketload of DJs - 2onajoyride, Bad Ezzy (Hoops), Mixtape Mafia, Ben Lucid, Coco & Shambles and Cassette. Cut Off Your Hands have pulled out of the Come Together festival due to recording commitments. The band are currently in the UK working on their debut album, which is due out in August. They will be replaced on the festival bill by Bluejuice. #
