Faker, Sparkadia, Cloud Control and Where's Jerome added to Purple Sneakers NYE Party

A while back we reported that the Purple Sneakers kids had organised a fairly nice New Years bash at Sydney Uni - which was doubling as the unofficial Dappled Cities Fly welcome home party also. Well, today the line-up was completed with local acts Faker (co-headlining the night with the Dappled fellas), Sparkadia (recently signing with Ivy League Records), Cloud Control and Brag comp winners Where's Jerome all joining the bill.

These new acts will be joinning the current line-up which includes Young and Restless, The Tongue, The Holidays, Wons Phreely and S.Y.L.K.

Tickets are on sale now and although we orignally thought the $30ish price tag was a little steep we are now feeling that the wall-to-wall action doesn't get much better than this. Tickets available Moshtix, Ticketek and Sydney Uni Access Office.

Dappled Cities Fly (no we are NOT dropping the 'fly') are now making children's music. The Sydney group will play the music of Australian composer Kyls Burtland on a new Playhouse Disney series called "Alphabreaks" which introduces preschoolers to the letters of the alphabet with the help of musical instruments and original music. The 26-part series, to be televised in Australia and New Zealand, will be directed by Tom Spark who has previously created music videos for the likes of The Cat Empire, Thirsty Merc, The Vines, Vanessa Amorosi and Gyroscope. #
