During our recent chat with Ruban "Unknown Mortal Orchestra" Nielson he revealed that the band would be heading to Australia sometime later in the year. Well that lil' slice of Paradise/Great News has now been confirmed, with the Kiwi-led Portlanders announced as part of the latest wave of artists on the (slow-dripped) Falls Festival line-up...

The full second line-up (in order of Awesomeness)...

  • Unknown Mortal Orchestra
  • J Mascis
  • DJ Yoda
  • Josh Pyke
  • Crysal Castles
  • Papa Vs Pretty

Joining the initial line-up (in alphabetical order)...

  • Arctic Monkeys
  • Arj Barker
  • Easy Star All Stars (performing Dub Side of the Moon in full)
  • Fleet Foxes

Black Dice. Fukking goofballs.

Also, a bunch of likable characters have just been announced as part of this year's Melbourne Festival, which we assume is just like the Sydney Festival except "chockers with Culture".
