Frightened Rabbit added to Laneway
It has just been announced that everyone's favourite morbid Scots, Frightened Rabbit, have been added as a late inclusion for this year's Laneway Festival.
They will play appear at the sold out Melbourne and Sydney legs of the festival. No word yet on whether or not they will play extra side shows in either city. Update: FREE Sydney sideshow confirmed for Wednesday, February 3 at Beach Rd Hotel. Thanks to moofaaa for the heads up.
Other last minute additions include; Brooklyn's Black Gold (all cities), winners of The Very West comp The White Goods (Sydney only), as well as the Unearthed winners for each city - The Salvadors (Adelaide), The Frowning Clouds (Melbourne), Fergus Brown (Sydney), Young Revelry (Perth) and Comic Sans (Brisbane).

Frightened Rabbit - The Winter Of Mixed Drinks
When we first wrote about Frightened Rabbit back in the free-spirited summer of 2007 they were a funny band. Their press shots, goofily depicting them dressed as tea-sipping wrestlers, was a direct paradox of their unsettlingly honest lyrical style and off-centre indie pop charisma. They crafted songs that literally felt like they were held together by just a piece of string (and the occasional clever one liner), yet often draped in a clear glaze of pop sensibility.

We have just received an email from an 'industry insider' letting us know that this Wednesday's Echo & The Bunnymen show, which was scheduled to take place at the Enmore Theatre, has now been moved to the Metro. The date has also been changed to Tuesday, February 2.
