Ghosts of the village

Ghosts Of Television

Ghosts Of Television are set to release their new EP, Furthest Village From The Sun, on June 7 (tomorrow!!) via Chatterbox Records.

The title track picks up right where their last release, the fantastic City of Painless Childbirth - which is also featured on the EP - left off.

Furthest Village From The Sun

The EP was recorded with Burke Reid (of Gerling 'fame') at Big Jesus Burger late last year and has been just hanging out on hard drives for the past six months, aging like a fine bottle of wine and/or lady.

Tracklisting:

  1. Furthest Village from the Sun
  2. City of Painless Childbirth
  3. Jubilation
  4. Buzzrd

The official EP launch is going on TONIGHT at Candy's Apartment, with the band performing alongside Atrocities, The Laurels, Hobgoblin Syndicate and Mailer Daemon DJ. It is promising to be sweeter than the sweetest thing you can think of. Sugar-coated nectarines?

The ghosts will also be playing a show (that we have actually 'organised') at La Campana next Wednesday with Yes Nukes and Dom. They are then heading down for the Melbourne EP launch next weekend, before cruising up to Brisbane the week after to support Spider Vomit.

Friday, June 6: Candy's Apartment, Sydney
Wednesday, June 11: La Campana, 55 Liverpool St, Sydney
Friday, June 13: Pony, Melbourne (2am slot)
Thursday, June 19: Wolfgang, Brisbane
