Happy International Casiotone For The Painfully Alone Day!!!
Last night in bed I was tossing (no homo) and turning (some homo), plagued by the thought that I had either...
a) Left the stove on, or;
b) Forgotten something really important that was supposed to happen this week.
I awoke in a cold sweat and remembered that we didn't have a stove. In fact, nobody had stoves. This wasn't 1958. The depression we had to have was over. We eat sushi and party all the time.
I then checked my electronic iCalendar and noticed a big red circle around today's date. How could I forget?? Today is International Casiotone For The Painfully Alone Day!!!
I know what you are thinking...
a) Already? YES!! and;
b) Oh, the weird background makes sense now, I thought I was tripping balls. YOU STILL MIGHT BE! TODAY IS WACKY FRIDAY!!!
This year's celebrations are extra special as, by pure coincidence, Mr Casiotone is actually touring around Australia at the moment. You can catch him in Sydney on Sunday at The CAD Factory in Marrickville, as well as down the coast at Wombarra TONIGHT. If you see two lost bros tearing the world famous Wombarra Bowls Club a new one this evening then come and say "howdy", as it's more me and this guy (umm... not Krazy Kraig from The Vines, the other bro).
In celebration of this INTERNATIONAL day of partying/recognition we are going to be posting CLASSIC Casiotone songs and videos all day. Well, maybe not ALL day. We still need to hitch-hike down to Wombarra at about 6pm. But until then - let the good times roll!
