A Sunday afternoon stroll down to a Marrickville warehouse called The Pitz (a local mainstay for musicians wanting to rehearse and sleep) allowed our posse (of two people) to enjoy a whole bunch of fine local talent.

Fait Accompli were ok. A screaming cameo appearance made it kinda interesting, but they've played better. Seemed like the we're-in-a-warehouse-so-we-don't-give-a-shit approach was overplayed a little bit, to the point that they didn't really sound like anything.

Warhorse do their rock thing pretty well. Not my style though. Too much 'tude.
Ladybird. Meh.
Out of time skateboard drumming. Double Meh.

Lucy & The Pheromones we're damn fine just as we had suspected. Walking the narrow line between pop genius and anarchic chaos, but never looking like falling to either side. And damned if Shotgun The Cadillac isnt the song they will be forced to close all their shows with in 15 years time.

Finally, despite being those strange types of people whose mouths are slightly too large for their heads, and whose speaking volume is a little louder than average, Bachelor of Arts managed to really impress with their angular, precise, My Disco styled songs.
