The Drones are going to play shows in every country on the planet over the next few months

Let's not beat around any form of shrubbery - The Drones released the BEST local release last year. They are also almost certainly the BEST band this country has produced in the past decade. FACT! Actually, not since the glorious days of Dragon and/or Ratcat has a band been so damn FINE. Double FACT!
AND now off the back of the group's latest release masterpiece they are embarking on a bit of an epic-size voyage.
First stop is the US of Fucking Ay - including an appearance at the massive SXSW festival and a spot on the 'Aussie BBQ Tour' alongside The Boat People, Josh Pyke AND Gabriella Cilmi!!.
Sunday, March 15: Echoplex, Aussie BBQ, Los Angeles
Monday, March 16: Aardvark, Fort Worth, Texas
Friday, March 20: Karma Lounge, Austin, Texas (Official SXSW Showcase)
Friday, March 20: Aussie BBQ, SXSW, Austin, Texas
Saturday, March 21: Spider House, Austin, Texas (SXSW Free Public Party)
Thursday, March 26: Bell House, Aussie BBQ, Brooklyn
Tuesday, April 7: Shubas, Chicago
The group will then be returning home and playing a whole a bunch of headline shows around the place. They will also be joining Ratatat (not Ratcat! sad emoticon!), De La Soul, Okkervil River AND The Living End on the Groovin' The Moo festival tour. Rural style.
The group will be supported at their headline shows by Qui from the US and Melbourne's Witch Hats. The logical partnership with the Witch Hats is something I have been dreaming about for hundreds of years.
Friday, April 24: The Corner Hotel, Melbourne VIC *
Saturday, April 25: The Metro Theatre, Sydney NSW *
Sunday, April 26: Fly By Night, Fremantle ^
Wednesday, April 29: The Hi Fi, Brisbane *
Thursday, April 30: ANU Bar, Acton *

Saturday, May 9: Groovin The Moo, Maitland
Saturday, May 16: Groovin The Moo, Bendigo
BUT there is more!!
After a hectic couple of months and more time zones changes than the average person will be burdened with in their lifetime, the group will then hop on a plane and head over to Eng-land and the neighbouring world of Europia for a whole bunch of shows. At the UK dates they will be joined by recent ex-pats Snowman - the band responsible for the 'other' incredible local release last year. It's like we curating this shit or somethin'.
