The Drones, Eddy Current and Beaches make it onto Australian Music Prize shortlist

The shortlist for the 2008 Australian Music Prize (Da AMP) was officially announced this morning...
- The Presets - Apocalypso
- Beaches – Beaches
- The Drones - Havilah
- Cut Copy - In Ghost Colours
- CW Stoneking - Jungle Blues
- Jack Ladder - Love Is Gone
- Tom Cooney - Presque Vu
- Eddy Current Suppression Ring - Primary Colours
- Ross McLennan - Sympathy For The New World
It's probably no secret who we think should get the award.
As in previous years the winning band/artist will take home a MASSIVE pile of cold hard ca$h (30,000 big ones!). A secondary prize for 'outstanding potential' will also be awarded, with the recipient taking home $15,000. What financial crisis?
The winner will be announced on March 13.
