Well played @balls. You've officially made yourself look like a cock to mach your dumb cunt name.
Oh yeah, WOOT WAVVES! Saw him (Nathan) chillin in a hotel last week with Best Coast. He's all of four foot nothing! Massive Tom Cruise-syndrome!
Fuck, now I can't fight crime/National fans!
"In 2001, Drake began his acting career, playing the role of Jimmy Brooks, a character on Degrassi: The Next Generation. In the show, Brooks is a basketball star who became physically disabled after he was shot by a classmate. His role on the show ended in 2009, when his character graduated from Degrassi. He appeared in 138 episodes. He appeared in the 2008 television movie Degrassi Spring Break Movie." - Clearly the high points of Drake's career.
Greatest festival of all time = Chef Aid.
We've forgotten the main argument that it isn't just Missy Elliott is shit, it's the fact that park life have dragged out yet another has-been instead of actually getting a real legend to headline the event. My votes for next year are either Tone Loc, or Meatloaf. The more likely option will be MC Hammer.
P.S. MIssy Elliott really i shit, and we should all hate her for giving Timbaland's career a jump start that would eventually result in One Republic and the eternal damnation that was Chris Cornell's last solo record *shudder*
@Aaaaaaaaaron, fair enough. Say what you want about my writing. I'm not trying to imitate Jonny, but it's your opinion that it comes off that way so fine.
But don't for a second think I'm reading other reviews and going against the trend for the sake of it. I didn't even read any reviews of this album (except what I saw at Pitchfork, which I think every review they write should be taken with a grain of salt).
I'm being honest with my opinions and as a reviewer that's all I can do. Do you really want every review you read to agree with each other, just so you feel safer when you spend cash/MB getting a record?
How about instead of just criticising me for being shit, which I'm fine with, you raise some points that you enjoyed about the record. Maybe you liked the strange production values. Maybe you thought 'Celestica' is CC's best ever song. I don't care. What I am sick of is people dissing instead about entering into some type of debate over the quality of record.
This site has the unique ability to be popular enough, yet at the same time small enough for everyone to share their views and be heard. So many other websites don't even have comment sections that can easily be read at the bottom of the page, which is what I think makes Polaroids such a great forum for music lovers to interact with.
So if you'd like to point out some parts of the record that I didn't understand or should give another listen too @Aaaaaaaron feel free. I'm ready and waiting. Until then I'll go work on my writing and you think about coming up with some more creative and informed contributions for the Comment section.
Cheers, @Rav.
P.S. I'm a male.
Few, glad that's cleaned up! Remind me never to leave T-Moore and Billy Walsh in the same room together!!!
Wait... does this make Thurston Moore a suit? I knew it! Ever since I saw him on Gilmore Girls!
Imagine all the STDs you'd catch getting dragged up C-Ag's moot?! Excellent review, I give it 9.5 Spuds outta 10. Couch Potato anyone?
Thanks @bella!
fuck yeah! the guitars rule.
this made my head hurt.
This album has really grown on me. It's also helped that they've released some phenomenal film clips to go with it.
Very noice. Total babes. Backing vocals sound very Kim Deal. Sounds like they'd be fucking loud live too, which rules.
Oh yeah, and Sparta sucks. But considering Cedric and Omar decided to break up ATD-I because they didn't want to keep making the same music over and over again, they kind of lost that foresight with the Mars Volta. Again, they should've just made Deloused and Francis and moved on. It's like the The Office or Faulty Towers. You need to get out while you're on top of your game. Otherwise you end up like Scrubs.
Blue album = Genius. But Pinkerton has El Scorcho. That's a tough debate. To be consistent, I'm going with the Blue album, just cos I love a debut album that rules my world – aka Is This It.

@Bella and Spod, sittin in a tree...
Agreed, Room On Fire is a good record, but it was hardly a big step from Is this It. Neither album, however, compares to the last minute and a half of Invalid Litter Dept. Hearing that minute and a half was the single greatest experience in my life along with losing my virginity (and it lasted three times as long).
