Wolem

Fighting 'the man' and still having time for daily workouts and the consumption of 2 to 4 kilograms of music ain't easy. But this 32 minutes of sound proves that it can be done. Keep yer head up tiger, yer eyez on the priz-izzle and your mo-stache trimmed. If you put all your eggs in one basket you will eventually have a basket full of chickens. Dream on suckerzzz.

1. Charlton Heston - Copkiller
Heston quoting Ice-T. Rest in peace you crazy mofo.

2. Casiotone For The Painfully Alone - Streets Of Philadelphia
This spot was originally reserved for Casiotone's fantastic cover of Paul Simon's Graceland until we realised that we had already danced that dance on a previous podcast episode. The straight swap for this Springsteen cover was done faster than you could could say 'Garfunkel'.

3. Yeasayer - Wait For The Wintertime
Just one snippet from their 100% awesome debut record, All Hours Cymbals.

4. Tapes 'N Tapes - Le Ruse
The opening number from the Tapes' new record, Walk It Off.

5. Cassettes Won't Listen - Catch Up
Hey, look we accidentally made a pattern! New song! Yeah!

6. Radiohead - Nude (Hipster Runoff Remix)
The blogstar throws together a lovely reworking of the Radiohead track as part of the remix contest. Kinda like Baz Luhrman's 'sunscreen song', only funnier and less focused on sunscreen and more on Napster and 'the drummer from Metallica'.

7. 123 Amazing - Tender Is (demo)
Nestled away at the end of their demo, this song is a brilliant little slice of music. It's less frantic and 'power-pop-like' than their other material, but definitely the sound that we think the Sydney up-n-comers should be focusing their attention on.

8. Re-up Gang - Re-up Gang Intro
Bragadozo hip-hop lunacy. From their new mixtape We Got It For Cheap Vol. 3 - The Spirit Of Competition.

9. Foals - Two Steps Twice
The band that everyone is claiming to be the return of Jesus Lennon or something. We are a little bit 'meh' on them, the hype and the ongoing crisis over 'fashion'. This song is nice though. Nice like cheap crack.

10. Snob Scrilla - Mr Officer (demo)
Recent Ivy League signing, KRS-One fan and just a mellow dude who is sick to death of the cops riding up on him and hassling him. You and me both Snob.
