Episode 41

Paste some songs together. Make them about 50% Australian. Shower in the praise that follows.

1. Casiotone For The Painfully Alone - The Pretty Girl
Taken from David Shrigley's Worried Noodles compilation.

2. Fatal Flying Guilloteens - Reveal The Rats
From their fantastically titled Quantum Fucking release.

3. Leader Cheetah - Bloodlines
Initially we weren't blown away by the new band that formed when one of our most loved - The Pharaohs - called it quits. Maybe it was the fact they sounded so very different or we were just being little bitches. Either way - our tune has changed. This song has been running laps in my head like some sort of uber-fit 65 year old who somehow also has the ability to create haunting and completely engaging music.

4. Plastic Palace Alice - Empire Falls
This song seems to have melted everything I like about catchy off-centre pop music into a nice single serve.

5. Cotton Candy - A Sentimental Song
Why do you have a photo of a penis on your fridge? Also taken from Worried Noodles.

6. Cut Copy - So Haunted
Everytime Cut Copy release something new we give them another chance. This time it's one and three quarter thumbs up.

7. Battles - Tonto (Four Tet Remix)
From the new Tonto EP / single which also contains a remix by The Field and live versions of the track.
