Death Row Records (possibly the most important hip-hop label of the 1990's) has been sold for $24 million to a company called Global Music Group Inc. Former owner, notorious bad dude Suge Knight, claims that he still owns the masters to the label's most important recordings - Snoop Doggy Dogg's Doggystyle and Dr. Dre's The Chronic - although the new owners disagree and claim the ownership of the back catalogue as the key reason they bought the label.
