The giant-sized FBi fundraiser show that was scheduled to be hosted at Luna Park on June 27 has now been moved to the Metro Theatre. Midnight Juggernauts and Bluejuice have also been added to the line-up, joining Muscles, Dappled Cities FLY, Decoder Ring and about twelve trillion other local acts. More details on the FBi webspace.

Golden Plains 2010 line-up - Pavement, Dinosaur Jr, Dirty Projectors, The Big Pink
The first batch of artists for the 2010 Golden Plains festival was announced this morning. Obviously, Pavement's headline slot was already known, but there are still plenty of lovely inclusions in the first round.
Laneway Festival 2010 line-up announced
First things first. We had pretty high hopes that Wavves was going to be included in this announcement. There was also some talk of Japandroids and Dinosaur Jnr, which just turned out to be horseshit. I suppose there is always 'round two'.
The nominations for the 2009 ARIA Awards have been released. A former Australian Idol runner-up leads the field with seven nominations, ahead of the usual gang of local 'talent' - Jet, Eskimo Joe and Sneaky Sound System. There are a few pleasant surprises though, with The Drones, Dappled Cities Fly and Horrorshow all picking up nominations.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 26 at Acer Arena, Sydney and televised live on Channel Nine. General public tickets go on sale Friday, October 16 via Ticketek.
