Charge Group
The Gold Has Gone

This one has been sitting in the Todo.txt file for more than a minute, but as you all know Reality gets crowded with Lil B albums, part-time lawnmowing businesses and mid-life crisis'. And then there's engrossing Paper Scissors records that come into our lives and knock us over like renegade Queensland train drivers. Yeah, it's not really important that they're a Queenslander, but it also really really is. Renegades though, right? I mean, salvation. Or Freedom. And escaping to a rural town on the outskirts of Mount Isa to kick that Heroin Habit. And then getting hooked on methadone and cheap goon. What's the difference, right? Nah, Charge Group aren't chasers of The Grey Pony. Well, as far as I know anyway. But their music is deeply sunk into the same sense of tragedy. Where watching the fall of dynasties and/or slow-motion train disasters from the living room of your mate's knock-down weatherboard farm house is the perfectly logical thing to do to pass the time as you wait for the warm wash of guitars, violins and mild case-of-VB buzz to drag you under.

The Gold Has Gone features on Charge Group's forthcoming self-titled LP, due out later in the year. There's also an East Coast tour planned for September/October that is expected to be announced (fairly) soon.
