Surf City
Icy Lakes

If you're anything like me (25, horny, based) then for the last few weeks you've been absolutely frothing and flogging Surf City's new album, Kudos.
Icy Lakes is a fairly accurate representation of the New World which the band's sound now pleasurably roams. Running at bit over seven minutes it's an epic tale (probably about ice fishing), that builds from a twirling semi-psychedelic haze into a muffled, relentless (almost mathletic) punk number. All the while the group's jangly Loner Surf Punk VibeTM, that was so prominent on their debut EP, is deeply buried under a thick wash of Sonic Spaceman sounds.
The band continue their national tour TONIGHT at Spectrum. Full list of the other remaining tour dates here.
