You Beauty
Jersey Flegg

Ah, you can smell it in the air. It's the smell of Tommy Raudonikis' underarm, as he awakens from his 4 month summer hibernation. It's an odour of stale beer on overgrown grass hills, left to bake over the pointless off-season. It's the smell of the sweat on the brow of the fella put in charge of rolling up the cricket pitches of our nation, converting them into large open plains for that bastardisation version of Gaelic Football those southern types call 'footy'. Up here in the Sin-city Sururbs we know what it's really about. It's about that sweet stench of Willy Mason Vomit — a beautiful mix of kebab meat, Blue Tongue and Years Of Regret — as the 9th Immortal falls out of a taxi-cab and into the following day's Sports Page Headlines. The action ushers in the official new year — rugby league season has started.

Jersey Flegg, the debut record from League Rock/NRL Pop pioneers You Beauty, is officially out now, available as a free download over on Bandcamp or as a streamable no-downloads-on-your-office-computer option above. Hopefully, vinyl plans are being sorted now as that cover art really needs be appreciated in the physical realm.
