Nick Harte (aka Shocking Pinks) sounds something like if you were to take all of the good self-reflective parts of LCD Soundsystem and multiply them by New Zealand. You probably need to then take that result and sprinkle it with spaced out fables of everyday life and a unique blend of organic instruments, looped snippets and some mystery drugs to get some idea of the distant world which this record exists in.

Considering this album is a compilation of Harte's best work to date it runs surprisingly smoothly. The synth-based epic songs boosted by heavy drums are placed alongside experimental noise re-arrangements - yet it all makes sense - as every track is glued together by the continual, almost monotone, out-of-tune vocals. The innocence and home-made aspect of this record will get you in. The high quality, detailed production and unpredictable nature of every song will invite you back for many repeat listens.
