Cloud Control
Cloud Control

This record kicks off with a twist-n-shout organ-based track called She's Crazy And She Doesn't Care. It's a stock standard and poppy, albeit slightly formulatic, song that seems to be traveling nicely down a predictable lead single route until its railroaded by a lone fragile voice that hung out there as the backbone for the chorus. It's a lovely slap in the face and adds an unforeseen emotional element to the catchy number.

The remaining five tracks on this EP are a combination of four minute singles and slower ballad-esque tracks. They are entertaining enough but fail to recapture the thrilling battle of emotion and catchiness in the opener.

Although I feel they may struggle to break out of the shadows of fellow Blue Mountain group Belles Will Ring they are an exciting band with a very tight and well defined sound. Definitely worthy of marking as one to watch for future developments.
