Ghostland Observatory
Paparazzi Lightning

Dancey-rock music seems to have become all the rage over the past couple of years. The unique mixture of traditional instruments as well as computer generated effects and synthesises when done correctly can generate a style of music that defies genre classification, but, when it's done bad, it sounds like an awkward collection of noise.

Luckily, the duo of Ghostland Observatory has the talent, unique vocal style and catchy sounds to pull off this sound. Paparazzi Lightning is a fantastic album from start to finish, fueled mainly by the way it cleverly walks the line between sounding completely different to everything else in your collection and not creating a sound that alienates the listener in any way.
