For a while now, Dappled Cities Fly have been consistently in the upper echelon of Australian underground bands, their signature sound and off kilter approach to song writing has made them stand out in a crowded scene.
Granddance sees the band experimenting with new and different instruments and styles, while the trademark soaring falsettos contrasted with deeper mumblings still find their way into numerous tracks.
While some of the tracks have leant slightly toward being more generic than their older work, the album fits together as a whole, and is most definately a rewarding listen.
