The Pete Doherty movie continually plays in my head. Troubled, yet talented, young musician carves out a musical career, stumped continually by fellow bandmates and personal life dramas. He is criticised for misdirecting his songwriting talents into lazy, non-compatible genres only to defy the odds and become one of the most important singer-songwriters of our time.

Um, maybe that story will only play out in my head as this, much like their debut full length, is a very much hit and miss affair.

The title track is a fantastic piece of Doherty pop-rock music, but the rest of the EP, with awkward reggae-esque and poorly constructed ballads, quickly becomes incredibly painful, and, even with only five tracks, doesn't stop the listener from reaching for the skip button.
