Clipse
Hell Hath No Fury

Theres something to be said about a hip hop album with only 12 tracks. It seems the concept of all killer no filler has been lost on the community, with every album containing 'skits' and minute long tracks of 'freestyling' that really add nothing to the album as a whole.

Clipse avoid this and in doing so completely blow away any expectations that can be had, as track after track escalates their sinister, hardlined and angry message.

While The Neptunes production sometimes verges on being too heavily Pharell based, it usually hits the mark, with shimmering instrumentation and sampling is combined with sharp, sparse beats to create a haunting effect. Combined with the sometimes lazy, but ultimately effective lyrics, the album makes for one of the best hip hop efforts of the year.
