A whole bunch more Aussie artists have been added the annual
SXSW festival, including Dappled Cities, Resignators, Youth Group, Closure In Moscow, An Horse, Loene Carmen, Paris Wells, Kid Confucius, Red Riders and The Kin. That brings the total of local artists attending next year's festival to 58, which is the most ever to be accepted.

Dappled Cities Fly (no we are NOT dropping the 'fly') are now making children's music. The Sydney group will play the music of Australian composer Kyls Burtland on a new
Playhouse Disney series called "Alphabreaks" which introduces preschoolers to the letters of the alphabet with the help of musical instruments and original music. The 26-part series, to be televised in Australia and New Zealand, will be directed by Tom Spark who has previously created music videos for the likes of The Cat Empire, Thirsty Merc, The Vines, Vanessa Amorosi and Gyroscope.
