We are officially now 'giddy' with excitement over the new Mint Chicks album Screens, which is still on track to be released in February (in New Zealand at least).
Over the past six months or so the band has been offering up little sneak peaks of the songs that are going to appear on the record. In the past few weeks they have upped the ante a little bit and started also showing off some visual accompaniments (read: videos) for the new tunes.
Both of these fantastic, bright-coloured trip outs were created by guitarist Ruban Nielson.

You read the gushing praise from Da Festival Ladiez - now witness the mayhem in all it's glory (with just a little bit of tourist video and mud sliding thrown in at the start - bonus!).
Are you ready to witness an incredible performance by the man who is surely 'the voice of our generation'?
In all seriousness - what the fuck?
Throughout this performance he is seems to constantly trying to 'catch the beat', appears uncomfortable about alone on stage and on more than one occasion seems to screw up the lyrics. Epic fail Mr Kanye, epic fail.
'Official videos' suck!
It's 2008 and super-fan videos are NOW all the rage. Especially ones with cartoon drawings of the band members, dragons, cows get lassoed and He-Man guest appearances!!!
This video was lovingly drawn and birthed by Bella (the dork). Super nice work!
This is a great video. Really really good in fact. BUT I am not exactly sure what happens at the end. Does she save him from the hanging by whisking him into the air with her 'vomit balloons'? Can someone explain?
DZ are a punk/grunge band from Brisbane who supported Die! Die! Die! at The Zoo last Saturday night. This is the video for their song The Mess Up. It is the best thing you will see today.
Can you drink a bottle of Jagermeister in 3 minutes? No? You < DZ. As a side note: sponsorship deal?

Q-Tip once led the whole 'non gangsta' hip-hop revolution of the early 90's as a founding member of A Tribe Called Quest. Since then he has been (very occasionally) releasing solo albums and (obvs) watching the Jason Bourne movies.
Q-Tip has a new album out called The Renaissance (his first in 9 years!), which for some reason this track doesn't appear on (?). It's a brilliant record nonetheless and fans of the older De La stuff and/or any of the ATCQ records definitely won't be disappointed.
I guess it wouldn't suit their style to have a video that made any sense, right?

Ha! You thought this was going to be a video of a scene from the legendary action porn flick Megapussy, right? No? Ok.
Megapuss are a NEW(ish) supergroup/side-project featuring Devendra Banhart, Greg Rogove of Priestbird and Fabrizio Moretti from The Strokes.
They make music that is a little bit acid trippin', a little bit 'kooky' and a little bit sexy, hipster comedy. This video fits their style like a glove on a murdering lunatic. OJ?
